Looks Like Good Ikobahton Goes Down Cruelly

The next song on my latest top ten list (for last year, heh)is DJ Schmolli's "Cruelly Good Summer Feeling". I really enjoyed this little demonstration of his mega-multi-mashup mastery. In his own words it's "a 13 source mashup which is based on Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling” (which again is based on Avicii’s “Levels”)". I'm not sure if this is actually my favorite Schmolli mash of last year, but I figure it's way too late now to start messing with the list (which I actually made many months ago). I've also included a few other great tunes from the Austrian Mashup Master. Including a wicked video set to the last Rambo movie. Not for the squeemish - don't watch it if you don't like gory violence! Not to mention the very racy "Ikobahton". Overall consider this post to be not for childre ;-)

It Hurts Worderful Wit Chu

Today I have two amazing mashups. I find them both to be quite relevant for where I'm at in my life. They are made by two of my favorite DJ's, Pheugoo, and Robin Skouteris. Robin's mash is made out of two of my all-time favorite songs, Johhny Cash "Hurt (NIN cover) and Queens of the Stoneage "Make It Wit Chu". Pheugoo's is a mash of Hurts "Wonderful Life" with some Brainbug and Finn violins thrown in. Both are getting heavy playtime on my music player right now for very good reason. They are amazing tunes. I thought that I would do a Year In Review here at the Mash Pit. I've been at it for  almost half a year now, so this will be good practice for next year! Don't Fear if it Smells Like Hurt

Ahh Sunday. My only day off. I am definitely grateful for that. These two and a half week long pay periods kinda blow, especially since I've only had one real paycheque. I could really use some cash.

I guess I will have to "settle" for some of the Johny kind. Cash that is. Although I really hate to use the word "settle". These are two of my favourite Johny Cash Mashups.

The first one is an audio mash. No real video, just a slide show. It is JC covering NiN's "Hurt" mashed with Nirvana with some BöC and New Order thrown in for good measure.

I also really like this remix of Hurt. It's very relaxing, almost melancholy. It's a great bedtime song, if you're not too depressed that is. I am quite happy myself and I love this mix.
