I thought that I would do a Year In Review here at the Mash Pit. I've been at it for almost half a year now, so this will be good practice for next year! I feel that I have posted some great songs on the Pit, and I would like to share a few that may have been over-looked. I will not be sharing ones that have been in the Top 10 - I think. I don't remember 100% which songs I've removed from the list. Maybe some of these have been on it. Oh well!!
I am posting them in the reverse order they appeared in, not my order of preference. I am embedding my favorite vids, but the original posts may have had more than the one. The original posts are also linked (in the titles). Here are five of my favourite mashups from August.

Sweet Dreamy Army
I am a huge fan of Jack White and everything he does. I've seen him live a few times and he's always totally blown me away. Watching the Raconteurs playing Stanley Park's gorgeous Malkin Bowl amphitheatre one beautiful summer night was one of the most memorable concerts I've ever been to. The 3 bald eagles in the giant cedars especially stand out in mind.
I have always loved Annie Lennox and her music.
This next mashup is definitely one of the slickest, most polished and brilliantly executed mash's I have ever seen. Or heard. Sweet Dreams - both the music and the video - is blended seemlessly into the Seven Nation Army so well that it's almost hard to believe it's a true fan mash. I love how they even snuck themself in (just before the 3:00 mark). And, it totally rocks!
