I can hardly believe September is already here. Summer is nearly over, and school starts tomorrow! Time sure does fly when you don't know what you're doing! It seems like the older I get, the faster life gets. So maybe it's time for a little trip down memory lane... Whole Lotta Rambling Revelations In One Year

It was one year ago today, when I began this little obsession of mine that I call the mash-pit. I believe it was over 200 days later before I finally relaxed a little and stopped posting every day. It was easier to do when I had a boring job with nothing to do but surf the net. That's not the case today, but I still try to get up a few posts every week. And I definitely love mashups more than ever. Nowadays it's really just about posting music I really like, or a friend likes.

To celebrate the occasion today, I have a brand new video made at my request for one of my favorite mashups. Included with it are two more great songs/videos which I have posted here before. Together these are my three all-time favorite classic rock mashups, and best represent for me why I love this stuff so much. It's been too long since I've had anything here by Phil Retro Spector. Way too long. Today I aim to fix that. Phil's mashups are rather unique, he definitely has a unique style and sound - as well as look! His videos are as interesting as the audio work he does. Unlike most mashes, I don't really think his are quite meant for dancing. For myself I find that I feel more like relaxing (or sleeping) than bouncing around, but this can be a good thing. Exodus Revealed

This is currently my favourite tune on Youtube. Despite being a huge fan of Timbaland (and even JT), back in the day I was an old-school head-banger. I grew up on Maiden, Priest and AC/DC. But Bob Marley was cool too. Nobody told you to turn it off if you slipped some Bob into the playlist.

I really love this mash-up. Exodus (especially the 12 inch single) is one of my favourite songs of all time. By seeting it to the music of Iron Maiden's Revelations, Lobstredust has turned a reggae classic into a classic metal tune. It totally rocks!
