If you hadn't noticed, I really love mashups. I am still thinking about just why this is, but I do have a few ideas. I really love how a good mashup artist can take an old (or new) familiar bunch of songs and then recreate them so they are born anew, with a whole new identity. There are many more talented people doing the audio work than there are doing the video work.

It's been too long since I've had anything here by Phil Retro Spector. Way too long. Today I aim to fix that. Phil's mashups are rather unique, he definitely has a unique style and sound - as well as look! His videos are as interesting as the audio work he does. Unlike most mashes, I don't really think his are quite meant for dancing. For myself I find that I feel more like relaxing (or sleeping) than bouncing around, but this can be a good thing.
