I have been really enjoying a few Rolling Stones mashups lately. I have been especially loving Beto Pedroza's remix of the song "Heaven". I pretty much fall asleep to it every night. As well as multiple plays during the day.
It's Friday, and things are gonna get a little heavy here in the Pit. It's time to bend a little metal, with a few of the better Metallica mashups. When it comes to Metallica mashups, two forces reign supreme, Wax Audio and The Taskmaster'sMEGATALLICA Project. Picking one from each was nearly impossible, but somehow I did it. I highly recommend checking them both out for more great tunes, it will be worth your while. In addition to a killer selection from each of the Metallica Mashup Masters, I have an unbelievable mash from Celldweller and a most excellent remix from Discolog And just for shit's and giggles, this mashup from Funny or Die is kind of cool too: Metallica Mustache Rides
The Taskmaster's - "Peace Sells But The Bell Tolls" by Megatallica http://youtu.be/s8w1WPSGeRk - mp3 - Metallica "For Whom The Bell Tolls" vs Megadeth "Peace Sells (But Who's Buying?)"
Last but not least, here is the entire (semi-official) 17-track Megatallica YouTube Playlist (there are more "unofficial" vids). Perhaps your favorite will be different from mine ;-)
Here are a couple more Eleanor Rigby Mashups, using two different Queens of the Stoneage tunes. Which just happen to be one of my very favorite bands, especially live (although I loved them even more when they had Mark Lanegan).
Today I thought I would share a pair of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" remixes that I have been really enjoying lately. One is a couple years old, one is a couple weeks old. The newer one is a little more subtle (as a remix), and the older one is much more noticeably altered. I slightly prefer the older one, but love them both.
