This was supposed to go out yesterday, I'm not sure what happened.
At first thought the idea of mashing Iron Maiden with Frankie Goes To Hollywood doesn't sound too appealing. The result may surprise you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Af9T46ucpLg&feature=youtube_gdata_player - Iron Maiden "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" vs Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Relax"
Here's another mash using The Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc.", this one is mashed with Beat It. I like the Pussy Cat Dolls mash better, but this one is pretty decent too (although no real video).
They say Lady Gaga is the most downloaded performer (or anything else for that matter) on youtube - approaching one billion downloads . She is probably also the most mashed. Here is another great example of why both facts are so. Two versions of the same mashup, from The DJs From Mars
I am a huge Chris Cornell fan. He is possibly my favourite singer. His "Scream" collaboration with Timbaland was widely panned but I liked it. I like this mash too!
Another great mash using a tune from the Gorillaz. It seems like you can't go wrong with the Gorillaz if you want to punch of a good song with a little more bass. The video in this mash is just as awesome as the audio. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MpsICZcybI&feature=youtube_gdata_player - Genesis "I Can't Dance" vs Gorillaz "Stylo"
Sunday's were meant for lovers. Today is a typical Vancouver fall day - grey. I love Kylie, and after watching this vid I would say many share that feeling.
This is a beautiful audio mash. Two of the songs don't have videos so no real video mash was apparent. It's a great song regardless. One of my favorite songs at the moment. If it had a video it would go on the top ten.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am a huge fan of Annie Lennox. I am also a huge fan of DJ Earworm, arguably the creator of the world's greatest mashups. This next mash makes a great case for why I love them both. DJ Earworm's homage to the solo career of Annie Lennox. In the process what you are left with is a new Annie Lennox song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fht_R7ELZZs&feature=youtube_gdata_player - Annie Lennox - pretty much everything she's done solo
I think DJ Magnet is definitely one of the better Mashup Artists. Here is more proof. Thank God our Supreme Court struck down the Sunday Shopping Laws (thank you Marc Emery! - how many people knew that the Prince of Pot made that happen?). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnoGEutICWM&feature=youtube_gdata_player - Mousse T., Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, the Sonics, 2 Live Crew, Black Keys & More.
The Queens have been one of my favourite bands for awhile now (ever since I seen them play a 250 person club with Dave Grohl drumming). It's always nice to see more Beatles mashes. Most of the ones I find are pure Beatles (Beatles mashed with Beatles).
I had some technical difficulties yesterday, so my post didn't make it up, and for some reason I have completely forgotten what the video was. Oh well, I will make it up today :)
Flo Rida always reminds me of the Hangover, which is a good thing!!
